I left Galway for Dublin to study at the National College of Art and Design in 1998. Four years and a Fine Art degree later I became a member of the Graphic Studio Dublin having received the first ever Graphic Studio Graduate Award. I availed of opportunities to take part in prestigious exhibitions.
By far the most valuable opportunity as a young printmaker was the chance to edition for the Graphic Studio's Visiting Artist scheme where I honed my skills and learned from many fine printmakers. In 2005 and 2006 Arts Council and Culture Ireland Grants enabled me to take part in and travel to International Biennials in Canada and the Czech Republic while in 2008 I was awarded a Fellowship at the wonderful Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Mayo, Ireland.
I regularly exhibit in selected Graphic Studio shows, notably in The Garden of Earthly Delights in the Chester Beatty Library, Revelation in the National Gallery of Ireland and Na granicy/Where Borders Meet in Poland.
My work is also in the collections of such National Institutions as: The Office of Public Works, Dublin, NUI Galway, Ireland, The Chester Beatty Library, The National Gallery of Ireland, The Graphic Studio Archive.
